Historically, pipeline installation and maintenance in urban or private areas have been cause for concern. The main causes for pipeline incident are corrosion or third party digging intrusions. Gas leaks and the disruption of roads and property for repairs or replacement are not only inconvenient but can increase the likelihood of accidents. Under normal pipeline systems gas leaks can accumulate and can accumulate to explosive levels.
